Nina Nose Arson

ATF Accelerate K-9 Handler Mark Moore and his partner "Nina" are the K-9 team for Longview Fire Marshal's Office. Mark and "Nina" were certified in December of 2006 after an intensive Six-week course. 

Through "Nina"s" sense of smell, she is able to locate gasoline and other accelerates used by arsonists. The team trains regularly, seven days a week, 365 days a year, and respond to numerous fire and arson scenes in the East Texas area.

Nina is 1 of 82 Accelerate K-9's currently Assigned to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, National Response Team.  Nina is a vital tool used in our community to help detect the violent crime of arson.
