Along with LFD's Special Operations Team, we also have several other Specialty Teams.
WATER RESCUE TEAM
Our Water Rescue Team consists of 12 Paid Members and 4 Non Paid Members. This team is called out regularly all throughout the East Texas Region. They often assist in response efforts of drowning incidents as well as any high water rescues.
FTO TEAM
Another Specialty Team LFD is proud to sponsor is our Feild Training Officer Team. There are 3 FTO members for each shift, with a total of 9 paid members. The responsibility of this team is to guide new hires through all necessary training in order to successfully complete LFD's Paramedic Check-Off process.
INFECTION CONTROL TEAM
Our Infection Control Team consists of 1 per shift with a total of 3 paid members. These members are resposible for the care and procedures regarding incident exposure to employees.
SCBA AIRPACK TEAM
The LFD SCBA Airpack Team was assembled in order to maintain all necessary regulations and safety measures of our entire stock of SCBA airpack equipment. Staffing this team are 9 paid members who perform monthly and annual checks on all equipment as State Mandated.
