LFD is very excited to welcome our newest addition to our responding fleet, New Fire Engine 2! Engine 2 is a 2007 Pierce Enforcer complete with a foam system and CAFS. It will be replacing a 1993 Peirce Dash, which has now become Engine 11, a Reserve Engine.
Engine 2 will be housed at Station 2,which is also our Special Operations location. This station is located at 708 N Eastman Rd. Station 2 now houses, Engine 2, Medic 2, Rescue 2, and all Special Operations Equipment. A crew of 9 are assigned to this station rotating every third day.
The purchase of New Engine 2 was funded by the 2006-07 approved budget and was part of our established replacement schedule.
